When I download vbr_mp3s from the lma, they are sampled at REALLY high rates. What software is used to convert these shows from shn or flac to vbr? I've tried a few different items (including dbPoweramp), and even with the sampling rate set as high as possible, they still come out thin-sounding, and at only ~200Kbps. What software does the LMA use?

from the derivation log:

lame --preset standard

high bitrates could result from the fact that sources are 48khz, not 44.1.

Is there any way I could duplicate what is being done at the LMA? The differences are from ~200 to ~450...could that account for that big of a difference? Thanks!!
